    Application, Screening, and Background Reports


    What questions should you have on your application? Which questions should you avoid to stay out of trouble? What information are you required by law to have on your application?


    There is more to reviewing an application and background reports then a credit score, income amount, and criminal history. If you know what to look for you can get a good idea of how responsible your applicant is. We'll cover how to analyze a screening report as well as any laws and best practices that apply when approving or denying an applicant.

    EVICTIONS! An in-depth training on the complete eviction process


    Are you confident in your ability to evict a tenant? Do you know what small, honest mistakes are responsible for the majority of lost eviction cases? These mistakes can add weeks or even months to the time it takes until your tenant is evicted. Some can even result in counter-suits that cost landlords thousands of dollars. This class will cover everything eviction related from filing your case at the courthouse to hiring the sheriff to remove your tenant.

    Managing Section 8 Tenants -

    What to expect and best practices


    By law you can't deny an applicant because they are on section 8 or another subsidy program to pay their rent. So if you can't say that you don't take section 8 tenants then it is best to know what to expect. We will go through the paperwork you can expect, inspection schedule, property requirements, as well as how you get access to up to $5,000 towards a balance owed to by a previous section 8 tenant.


    This class qualifies for 1.5 CE hours with the Oregon Real Estate Licensing Agency.
